Our moisture wicking t shirts and shirts begin with patented Dri-release® technology, which uses a unique blend of fibers and fabrics to wick moisture away from the body while also drying the fabric faster. This way, the moisture management is built right into the garment and you enjoy a greater comfort because moisture is quickly removed from both your skin and your clothing so you don’t have to deal with damp skin or damp clothes. Dri-release® technology simply allows the moisture to exit through the fabric and evaporate into the air.
DRIFIRE moisture management clothes remove moisture away from the skin faster than other performance fabrics and faster than natural fabrics such as cotton, so that you stay comfortable no matter what the conditions. In fact, our performance apparel exceeds all the wicking standards set by commercial companies and by the military, so you know our product works.
How do our clothes offer this level of comfort? We use a fiber known as lyocell, which is made by Lenzig, Inc and marketed under the brand name Tencel®. About 10% to 15% of each DRIFIRE wicking shirt and piece of clothing is made from lyocell, which is a water-seeking fiber made from wood pulp cellulose. Using a process called nano-fibril technology, Lenzig, Inc is able to use this fiber to create superior moisture wicking and management clothing. As a result of the process and the fiber, Tencel® is 50% more absorbent than 100% cotton and is more absorbent than many other performance products.
Since our wicking shirts and clothing keep you drier longer, our clothes are safer to use in extreme temperatures, where moisture on the skin can mean hypothermia and other dangers. The fibers used in our clothing shows the highest moisture absorption-rate when compared with other synthetic fabrics and when compared with natural fabrics such as cotton.
